Terms & Conditions — John's Blinds Direct

These Terms & Conditions of Sale apply to all orders placed with John's Blinds Direct. Please read them carefully before confirming your order. We may update these terms from time to time; check this page for the latest version before each purchase.

1. Formation of Contract (Sale of Goods)

All quotations and contracts between customers and John's Blinds Direct must be in writing or confirmed through approved digital methods. Any verbal agreements are not binding unless supported by written confirmation from John's Blinds Direct.

A contract is formed once a written quotation is accepted and signed by the customer and confirmed by John's Blinds Direct. Acceptance of a quotation constitutes agreement to these Terms & Conditions of Sale.

No variations or amendments will be valid unless agreed to in writing by John's Blinds Direct.

2. Price and Payment

Prices may vary depending on the size, style, and material of the blinds. A 30% deposit of the total order value is required at the time of acceptance, with the remaining balance payable upon completion of installation unless otherwise stated in writing.

Payment can be made by card, bank transfer, or other approved methods. John's Blinds Direct retains full ownership of all goods until payment has been received in full.

If payment is delayed, we reserve the right to suspend installation or charge interest and recovery fees where applicable. All goods remain the property of John's Blinds Direct until the order is paid in full.

3. Delivery and Installation

Following acceptance of your quotation, you will be provided with an estimated delivery and installation date. Confirmed installation dates will be arranged once the products are manufactured and quality-checked.

Approximate manufacturing and fitting lead times are:

  • Vertical Blinds: Minimum of 5 working days from order to fitting
  • Venetian Blinds: Minimum of 14 working days from order to fitting
  • Roller Blinds: Minimum of 7 working days from order to fitting
  • Skylight Blinds: Minimum of 7 working days from order to fitting

Please ensure clear access to all windows prior to installation. John's Blinds Direct cannot be held responsible for delays caused by restricted access or furniture not being moved.

4. Defective Goods and Returns

In the unlikely event that goods arrive damaged or faulty upon delivery or installation, John's Blinds Direct will replace or repair them as quickly as possible, free of charge.

We do not accept returns for goods manufactured to customer specifications unless they are defective.

5. Cancellations and Changes

As all blinds are custom-made to order, cancellations or changes must be made within 24 hours of placing your order. After this period, a non-refundable 30% deposit will be retained to cover production costs.

Any design or size alterations made within 24 hours will be processed at no extra charge.

Please note: John's Blinds Direct is not responsible for delays beyond our control, such as supplier issues, material shortages, or transport disruptions. We will inform you immediately of any significant delay.

6. Warranty

All products are covered by a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty, starting from the date your order is paid in full. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship during normal domestic use. It does not cover:

  • Accidental or deliberate damage
  • Misuse, neglect, or improper maintenance
  • Stains or discolouration from spillage or cleaning agents

If a fault occurs within the warranty period, John's Blinds Direct will repair or replace the item as quickly as possible. Where repair or replacement is not possible, an appropriate charge for replacement may apply.

7. Privacy Policy

John's Blinds Direct is committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. We collect only the details necessary to provide quotations, complete your order, and deliver our services — including your name, address, phone number, and email address.

Your information is stored securely and used only by John's Blinds Direct staff involved in the order and manufacturing process. We never share or sell customer data to third parties.
